    TBL Pro Membership

    By Updated

TBL Pro is The Bitcoin Layer's written research arm, authored by Nik Bhatia. Members receive weekly letters and longer monthly research that translate the TBL Liquidity framework, on-chain valuation models, and Treasury market dynamics into investment context for Bitcoin and broader risk assets.

    What TBL Pro Is

TBL Pro is the written research product of The Bitcoin Layer, authored by Nik Bhatia, founder of TBL, former institutional Treasury bond trader, USC Marshall School of Business professor, and author of Layered Money and Bitcoin Age. Pro is the place where the frameworks described on the canonical pages get applied to the current cycle, the current macro tape, and the current cohort behavior, week after week.

Where TBL Pulse is the live data and signal layer, TBL Pro is the written interpretation. The letters explain what the framework is reading right now, what the disagreements between layers are saying, and how the cycle is unfolding against the longer-run thesis. The longer monthly research builds the structural picture that the weekly letters update.

Pro exists for the reader who wants more than the chart. The chart shows the signal. The letter explains what it means, what to weight, and what to discount.

    What Pro Members Receive

Weekly TBL Pro letters. Substantial written analysis published on a weekly cadence, covering the current state of the [TBL Liquidity framework](/learn/what-is-tbl-liquidity), the on-chain layer, the market-structure layer, and the macro liquidity context that frames them. The letters are written, not transcribed, and run long enough to develop arguments rather than just report readings.

Longer monthly research. Deeper structural pieces that build the thesis the weekly letters update. Monthly research covers the larger questions about the cycle, the macro regime, and the structural shifts (institutional adoption, monetary architecture, regulatory environment) that the weekly cadence does not always reach.

TBL Pulse paid access. Pro membership includes access to the full Pulse paid tier, with the live TBL Liquidity signals, the seven-model on-chain composite, the Terminal, the regression workspace, and the post-ETF market structure indicators. Pro members run the dashboard alongside the written research, with each side reinforcing the other.

Monthly TBL/CheckOnChain collaborations. The on-chain deep-dive reports produced in collaboration with CheckOnChain are part of the Pro offering, bringing the leading on-chain analytics practice in the space alongside TBL's macro and market-structure work.

    Who TBL Pro Is For

TBL Pro is built for serious Bitcoin and macro investors who want a written research product that does the analytical work, takes positions, and develops a coherent thesis over time. It is for readers who already understand the basic case for Bitcoin and want the deeper layer of macro liquidity, on-chain valuation, and market-structure analysis that a generalist letter cannot deliver.

Pro readers tend to be professionals: portfolio managers, allocators, advisors, and individuals running serious personal capital. The letters are written for an audience that knows what the MOVE Index is, recognizes the difference between MVRV and SOPR, and wants the framework applied rigorously rather than explained from first principles each issue.

For readers who want to learn the framework rather than apply it, the canonical pages on this site and the books (Layered Money and Bitcoin Age) are the right entry points. For readers who have the basics and want the weekly application, Pro is the product.

    How Pro Connects to Pulse

Pro and Pulse are two halves of the same research product. Pulse runs the framework live. Pro interprets the framework in writing. A reader using both has the chart and the explanation in the same week, with the explanation often catching the chart's most important moves before they show up in the headline indicators.

The interaction is by design. Letters reference the live Pulse readings. Pulse views are designed to be opened alongside the letter. The Trend Master composite, the seven-model Master Valuation, and the four-pillar Liquidity Index are common reference points across both surfaces.

How Pro Connects to the Canonical Framework Pages

The canonical pages on this site (What Is TBL Liquidity, Bitcoin and Global Liquidity, Treasury Volatility, ETF Flows and Market Structure, On-Chain Signals, the Macro × On-Chain integration) describe the framework. Pro applies the framework to the current cycle. The pages are the methodology. Pro is the working analytical record.

A new Pro reader can start with the canonical pages to understand the framework, then move into the current-cycle letters to see the framework applied. Long-time Pro readers know the framework well and use the letters as the weekly analytical update.

    The Author

TBL Pro is authored by Nik Bhatia, founder of The Bitcoin Layer. Background: former institutional Treasury bond trader, USC Marshall School of Business professor, author of Layered Money and Bitcoin Age.

Nik's writing combines a Treasury market trader's read of the bond market with a monetary theorist's read of the dollar system, applied to Bitcoin specifically and to risk assets more broadly. The Pro letters are written in Nik's voice, with the analytical framework developed across the books and the canonical pages.
